Fifty years cannot fit into a single scene.

In May 2027, Balé Popular do Recife turns fifty. A journey that began with André Madureira's research and creation and was built by generations of artists, researchers, dancers, educators, technicians and collaborators.

The fiftieth anniversary celebrates what was created, preserves what remains and opens space for what is still to come.

1977—2027.
The story continues in motion.

Reaching fifty years also means recognizing that the company remains alive because its language continues to be researched, taught, danced and recreated. The past is part of the present — and the present prepares the next generations.
